Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will take responsibility for advising the business and finance teams, as well as taking ownership for the project management of tax projects and deliverables. Working as part of the Finance team, our ideal team member will have previous experience in managing statutory tax compliance deadlines and obligations with excellent analysis skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Corporation Tax calculations for UK, Channel Islands, and Irish entities.
  • Manage all associated projects e.g. Research and development and capital allowances.
  • Ensure that tax computations and returns are filed with the relevant tax authorities, in the correct format and on a timely basis e.g. Corporation tax and PSA returns.
  • Assist the line manager and the Tax finance director in ensuring that tax payments are made accurately and on time to the relevant tax authorities.
  • Respond to tax related queries from internal or external stakeholders on a timely basis and in a practical/commercial way e.g. tax advisory to business on a new product or queries from HMRC.
  • Provide support to the finance function during reporting periods such as interim and year-end including preparation of detailed taxation calculations and statutory reporting forms.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in direct taxes.
  • Professional qualification in accounting e.g. ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent work experience.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Worked in financial services.
  • Worked with software tools such as SAP and ALFA.
  • Professional qualifications in tax e.g. ATT or CTA.
