Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will advise the business and finance teams and manage tax projects and deliverables. This role involves managing statutory tax compliance deadlines and obligations with strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities- Manage the Corporation Tax calculations for UK, Channel Islands, and Irish entities and associated projects such as R&D and capital allowances.
- Ensure tax computations and returns are filed correctly and on time, e.g., Corporation Tax and PSA returns.
- Assist the line manager and the Tax Finance Director in making accurate, timely tax payments to authorities.
- Respond to tax‑related queries from internal or external stakeholders promptly and in a practical, commercial manner.
- Support the finance function during reporting periods, including interim and year‑end, by preparing detailed taxation calculations and statutory reporting forms.
- Experience in direct taxes.
- Professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in financial services.
- Familiarity with software tools such as SAP and ALFA.
- Professional qualifications in tax (e.g., ATT, CTA).
