Job Description
Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will be responsible for leading the financial aspects of customer remediation projects and will be supported by two direct reports and work with the wider Customer Resolutions teams.
Our ideal team member will have previous experience in ensuring accounting and audit requirements are met and managing significant cost budgets with excellent interpersonal skills.
Travel to Doncaster Required
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial provision modelling requirements, engaging with senior stakeholders to review and refine outputs
- Own the relationship with audit and assurance parties, both internal and external, ensuring requirements are met
- Deliver and design redress calculations ensuring alignment with programme and regulatory requirements, which will vary depending on the remediation project.
- Ensure redress calculations are well documented with any assumptions clearly articulated
- With the support of the remediation programme, deliver relevant reporting requirements on customer payments, for both internal and external parties including the regulator
- Lead on the engagement with insurers to ensure financial information is made available for any potential claims
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the customer relations team, internal Motor teams, senior management and external stakeholder including auditors, assurance providers, legal teams and regulators
- Be responsible for the recruitment, selection, development, reward, talent and succession planning of the team

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- Proven ability to lead, work under pressure and collaborate effectively
- Confident in working with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; for example, looking at large amounts of data to identify trends
- The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items
- An ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Advanced MS Office packages, Excel and PowerPoint
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
- Remediation experience
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience of the Financial Services or Automotive sectors
