Join the Close Brothers Technology Team where you will be accountable for the reliability, recoverability and operational resilience of centralised enterprise services consumed by product value streams. Working as part of the Technology team our ideal team member will have previous experience in implementing AIOps and automation in operations with excellent management skills.
Responsibilities- Enterprise ownership of observability platforms (logs, metrics, traces, service health)
- Authority to define and enforce SLOs, error budgets and reliability standards
- Define and operate an enterprise observability strategy covering central services and integrations
- Embed SRE disciplines including SLOs, error budgets and reliability reviews
- Deliver automated remediation for common and repeat failure scenarios with strong change control
- Improve major incident performance through faster detection, diagnosis and recovery
- Support resilience and disaster recovery testing through telemetry, evidence and insights
- Own budgets for observability and AIOps tooling, including cost optimisation
- Build and lead a specialist observability, SRE and AIOps capability
As a line manager you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, developing performance through coaching, encouraging personal development and providing support through regular feedback.
Qualifications – Required- Knowledge of SRE practices and resilience engineering.
- Regulated‑industry operational experience.
- Certifications or formal training in observability, monitoring platforms, or SRE‑aligned practices.
- Exposure to data analytics or machine‑learning concepts relevant to AIOps.
- Leadership or management development focused on leading technical teams through change.
