The Vacancy
OVERALL SUMMARY

Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will play a key role in providing wide ranging support across external and internal reporting, and oversight of the finance functions in the banking segments. Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in month-end and financial control procedures with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production of monthly Bank consolidation file
- Prepare monthly consolidation journals
- Compile the internal Profit by Clusters report
- Run monthly control reports and ensure no issues exist including monitoring intercompany matrix
- Ensure timely submissions of the FINREP packs from the business units
- Preparation of the consolidated quarterly FINREP report including raising review comments and challenge to the business units
- Preparation of the Office of National Statistics returns
- Assist with the consolidation of business submissions of data as required, including summary of intangible assets, IFRS 9 impairment, data for impact assessment of new accounting standards.
- Produce high quality interim and year-end financial reports including the Banking Group’s consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Support the IFRS 16/IFRS 9 process across the Bank
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- A qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- Strong organisational skills including a good track record of delivering effective reporting under pressure and to tight business-critical deadlines
- Evidence of working well within teams and proven ability to engage with a variety of people across multiple departments
- A strong technical background
- IT literate with advanced knowledge of Excel
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience of FINREP
- Experience of SAP
- Experience of producing consolidated financial statements
- Experience of Workiva
