Join the Close Brothers Central Finance Team where you will forecast, track and assist operational teams to deliver programmes and projects to deliver new ways of working, efficiencies and processes to assist the Bank’s success. Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in working with stakeholders such as Group Director of FP&A, Group Programmes Director and other functional owners to translate finances into language and presentations everyone can understand with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Working with your stakeholders to translate the finances into language and presentations everyone can understand.
  • Supporting the development and achievement of the benefits case, ensuring the programme is delivering to the timeline.
  • Managing the finances of a large transformation programme and working with our partners to ensure that third party costs are understood, challenged and in line with forecasts.
  • Working with the operational teams to keep a list of Risks and Opportunities to ensure that we are proactive in managing the challenges that the business is faced by.
  • Reviewing the Project ledger to ensure that the month end reporting is an accurate reflection of the activities delivered in the month.
  • Delivering a business case to invest in solutions which will support the long-term growth of the bank.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE

  • Proven experience acting as a Finance Business Partner across transformation and change programmes within a corporate environment.
  • Experience of cost and benefit scenario analysis which allow for stakeholders to make decisions on the best options for the Bank.
  • Skilled in benefits tracking and scenario analysis.
  • Proficient in cost reporting, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders, simplifying reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Strong Excel modelling capabilities, with the ability to enhance existing tools and create flexible models.
  • Experienced in financial modelling of various scenarios to assess the impact of different choices and improve decision-making efficiency.
  • Capable of monitoring financial targets and performance against Bank Strategy, agreeing remedial actions with stakeholders, and supporting cost-saving initiatives.

  • An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
