Role Overview
Become part of the Close Brothers Finance Team as a finance system calculation specialist. You will work closely with the Commission project team to deliver financial calculation requirements and implementations, while supporting governance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience managing project risks from a financial perspective and possess excellent technical accounting skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the project team on key finance requirements, including system calculation understanding, scenario-based redress calculation, and testing.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure calculations are well-documented and supported by stakeholders.
- Review all system finance calculations.
- Coordinate with the Financial Controller and Head of FP&A to meet financial reporting and audit standards.
- Update the leadership team on project developments.
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis and calculations, including FCA-related developments.
- Support team members and the wider bank team to ensure successful project delivery.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Skill in translating large data sets into actionable insights.
- Proven ownership and prioritization skills to handle multiple activities under tight deadlines.
- Experience with system calculations, e.g., APR.
