Join Close Brothers Retail Resilience Team where you will deliver operational resilience and business continuity outcomes in line with Group standards. The role is also accountable for owning and developing the local third‑party resilience framework: working directly with business process outsources to create a collaborative approach to resilience, ensure appropriate supplier resilience measures exist, and monitor resilience‑related third‑party risks. The role sits within the Retail Resilience team and is embedded within the Retail Operating model. It works in close partnership with the businesses to identify vulnerabilities, design resilience strategies, and prioritise investment. The role leads a team of 2 Resilience Analysts, who partner directly with process owners to deliver the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity cycles, and is responsible for their performance management, coaching and development.

Responsibilities

  • Own and ensure the delivery of the Retail Operational Resilience Procedures and the Retail Business Continuity Procedures.
  • Own and ensure delivery of the local third‑party resilience framework.
  • Work with the Retail Businesses to build and test service resilience strategies, business continuity plans and response playbooks.
  • Assist the Retail Business Incident Manager on responding to complex and impactful incidents.
  • Build process and governance improvements for testing and resilience cycles.
  • Communicate resilience outcomes and performance into the business executive committees.
  • Lead a high performing, engaged team, and sponsor people initiatives within the team.
  • Set the tone within the function/business by encouraging an inclusive culture and role‑modeling the company values and expected behaviours.
  • As a line manager, inspire and motivate your team, as well as develop performance through coaching.
  • Encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong experience in operational resilience, business continuity, third‑party risk or related disciplines.
  • The ability to lead, coach and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Proven experience working with suppliers and outsourced service models.
  • The ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to analyse complex systems and explain resilience risks clearly to senior stakeholders.

It is not essential but it would be great if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience working within FCA and PRA financial services Operational Resilience regulations (FCA PS21/3, PRA SoP1/21).
  • Experience with large‑scale outsourcing or offshore delivery models.
  • Resilience and/or Business Continuity professional qualification (CBCI/MBCI).
