Join Close Brothers Business Management Team where you will be a focal point and lead for both the detection and resolution of incidents across Close Brothers’ Retail Divisions. As the Retail division becomes increasingly complex, a clear and agile incident management framework is essential. Incidents can result in downtime of key services and platforms, affecting customer outcomes and revenue. The Business & Incident Relationship Manager will lead varied teams, support incident resolution, and drive continuous improvement through root‑cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all processes used by the business Incident team are thoroughly documented, consistently audited, and regularly improved.
  • Respond to a reported business/service incident and initiate the business incident management process.
  • Hold regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss incident management trends and queries.
  • Collaboratively work with the incident management team to ensure that all protocols are diligently followed.
  • Manage incidents affecting the retail business by stopping the incident, understanding impact on customers/business, and putting a remediation in place.
  • Implement and own the business incident management process and liaise with IT to resolve incidents.

Qualifications

  • Ability to influence and gain agreement on planning and prioritisation.
  • Prompt, clear decision-maker who can guide working groups and project teams.
  • Comfortable working at pace.
  • Ability to prioritise own work and develop concise, executable plans aligned with business directives.
  • Self-starter with the ability to support and encourage colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across multiple formats.
  • Independent thinker capable of acting decisively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Risk Management or Technology Systems.
  • Relevant subject‑related qualification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC).
  • Work experience in one or more domains of operational risk, such as IT, information security, process optimisation, fraud management.
