An exciting opportunity to join TrinityBridge in a mixed tax and administration role. Suitable for someone who currently works in or wishes to move into tax compliance work while also capable of managing general administration and database work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the process of and including preparation of annual self-assessment tax return for specific client allocation.
  • Liaise with HMRC where necessary, e.g. payments, PAYE coding notice.
  • Manage communications with clients regarding the self-assessment process (mail merge letters, emails, fees, data records).
  • Support the tax team in other areas as required: e.g. adhoc tax queries (assistance and training provided, where required).
  • Assist in review and production of tax packs.
  • Adherence to all departmental and company procedures, including mandatory training, appraisal & development scheme.
  • Demonstrate the firm’s business principles: client, excellence, people, integrity.

Regulatory responsibilities

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business.
  • Follow principles and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the internal requirements set out in the Compliance Manual, local and Group Compliance and Risk policies.

  • Basic working knowledge of self-assessment tax and capital gains tax required. Where there is little experience, an enthusiasm to learn will be considered for the right person.
  • Good team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft products; Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work accurately with tight deadlines.
