Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance (CBAF) Team where you will develop strong knowledge of CBAF products, processes and systems to enable an efficient and accurate customer onboarding process, ensuring you deliver a consistently high standard of customer experience.
Based in our office in Sale, Manchester, our ideal team member will be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, they will be proactive and demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. Previous experience in Sales Support / Customer onboarding, ideally in the financial services sector is beneficial, but not essential. Much more important is the right attitude, the desire and willingness to learn and being a good team member.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage inbound requests from internal teams such as Sales, Account Managers, and Broker Support, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and service level agreement (SLAs).
- Conduct customer due diligence, including risk assessment, verification of beneficial ownership, and validation of identity and address documents.
- Prepare and issue finance and security documentation in line with credit approvals, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Complete pre-payout checks, ensuring agreement and asset details are accurately captured in the lending system before funds release.
- Maintain accurate system updates and communicate application status as needed.
- Provide clear, prompt assistance to internal teams, customers, brokers, and suppliers via phone and email, escalating complex issues where required.
- Work effectively with other departments to ensure seamless communication and problem-solving for brokers and customers.
- Process payments to suppliers and intermediaries in a timely and compliant manner.
- Manage post-execution tasks, including portal updates, security registration, welcome documentation, and allocation of deposits or initial payments.
- Keep accurate records of customer interactions and transactions using our internal system.
- Provide overflow and contingency cover to the Customer Services team.

- Able to demonstrate accuracy and a strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience of working proactively and taking initiative.
- An ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Numerate with analytical ability.
- Able to engage with both customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to develop and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
- Worked with customers, demonstrating high standards of service and providing excellent customer outcomes.
- Previous knowledge and experience of the Financial Services Industry and in similar operational or customer facing role.
- Previous knowledge and experience of the Asset Finance industry.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Products.
