Join Close Brothers as an Internal Communications Executive, playing a key role in keeping colleagues informed, engaged and connected to our strategy, priorities and culture. You'll support the planning and delivery of clear, timely and engaging internal communications across multiple channels, helping ensure messages land clearly, resonate with colleagues and support the effective running of the business.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of internal communications plans aligned to business priorities
- Draft and edit clear, engaging content for a range of internal channels (e.g. intranet, emails, newsletters, town halls, leadership updates)
- Administer existing colleague employee recognition schemes
- Manage day-to-day internal communications activity, including scheduling, publishing and channel management
- Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to shape messages and translate complex information into plain English
- Support employee engagement initiatives, internal campaigns and cultural programmes
- Help plan and deliver internal events such as town halls, roadshows or leadership briefings
- Maintain and update internal communication platforms (e.g. SharePoint or intranet)
- Monitor feedback and engagement (e.g. open rates, surveys, comments) and share insights to improve communications
- Ensure consistency of tone of voice and alignment with brand and values
- Provide general communications support, including briefing notes, FAQs and presentations
- Maintain distribution lists
- Use copywriting skills to create clear, accurate and engaging copy, ensuring clear messaging is targeted at the appropriate audience
Qualifications
- Experience in an internal communications and engagement role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
- Experience working with digital communication tools
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
Optional Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Copilot
- Experience in a regulated or corporate environment
- Understanding of employee engagement best practice
- Basic experience using analytics to measure communication effectiveness
