Join the Close Brothers Technology Team where you will own the “front door” for Retail change by evaluating new initiatives early, translating business and technology strategy into a multi-year investment roadmap, and ensuring initiatives enter delivery with clear scope, value cases, and priority. Working as part of the Retail Value Stream team our ideal team member will have previous experience in sequencing initiatives for maximum value and translating strategy into plans with excellent collaboration skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as primary intake for new change; run feasibility assessments aligned to business priorities, technology strategy and architectural guardrails; input to structured, data driven prioritisation.
- Define the initial delivery approach for approved initiatives; shape discovery (scope, success criteria, outcomes); ensure governance entry criteria are met.
- Liaise with technology and business leaders to identify new initiatives and align with Product Owners’ vision, escalating appropriately in the event of misalignment.
- Maintain an integrated view of cross-portfolio dependencies; identify conflicts and recommend sequencing; partner with Technology/Architecture to balance demand and capacity.
- Provide a single view of portfolio financials; track spend and benefits; surface variances early; support the preparation of investment review packs and Bank Investment Committee submissions.
- Act as planning liaison to Technology, Retail leadership and central stakeholders; broker priority calls and resolve conflicts; prepare senior executive packs on status and decisions.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Extensive planning and leadership across Agile and traditional delivery; adept at shaping options from ambiguity.
- An ability to articulate stakeholder needs into well understood artefacts.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen (budgeting, forecasting, benefits tracking); comfortable with ROI/NPV and data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management and influencing skills; confident presenting to ExCo audiences.
- Tool proficiency: advanced Excel/PowerPoint; Agile tools (e.g., Jira/Azure DevOps).

- Familiar with MoP, PRINCE2/MSP, and Agile frameworks.
