Join the Close Brothers Risk Team where you will help ensure that customer, account and remediation data is appropriately governed, documented, understood and controlled throughout its lifecycle. Working as part of the Customer Resolutions team our ideal team member will have previous experience in performing data analysis, data profiling and data quality assessment activities with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the implementation of data governance controls, standards and procedures in line with Close Brothers data governance frameworks.
  • Assist in understanding and documenting data provisioning requirements from internal stakeholders, third parties and regulatory organisations.
  • Produce regular data quality reporting, dashboards and management information for stakeholders.
  • Identify, investigate and document data quality issues, exceptions and control failures.
  • Support requirements traceability activities, ensuring data requirements can be linked to source systems and business objectives.
  • Build effective working relationships with data owners, business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Support the identification and management of data-related risks and issues.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, analyse and investigate data from large and complex datasets.
  • Produced reports, dashboards and visualisations using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects or equivalent.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining metadata, business definitions and data governance artefacts.
  • Understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, lineage, metadata and critical data elements.
  • Investigated data quality issues, identifying root causes and supporting remediation activity.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience using Microsoft Purview or similar data governance, metadata management or data catalogue tooling.
  • Experience producing data lineage diagrams, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), process flows or other data governance visualisations.
  • Used Power BI as an enterprise reporting and visualisation platform.
  • DAMA Data Management Foundation (or working towards).
  • Relevant data governance, analysis, engineering or management certification.
  • Used Python or other data analysis technologies.
