Your role at Clorox:

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the smooth running of Accounts Payable and other financial tasks supporting our UK/EMEA region. This position requires a self-starter candidate with relevant accounts payable/accounts ledger experience.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and maintain Accounts Payable, Travel & Expenses, Key Account payments, and cash management processes.
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are recorded, approved, and paid timely.
  • Review and approve invoices in Concur with department coding.
  • Review and approve staff expense claims in Concur.
  • Reconcile and import bills and expenses from Concur to Netsuite.
  • Respond promptly to queries from Suppliers, Customers, or internal teams.
  • Keep supplier information updated in Netsuite and Concur.
  • Process company credit card expenses.
  • Organize and maintain all supplier and employee expense documentation.
  • Apply cash receipts to customers to maintain clear accounts receivable positions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts with Netsuite regularly.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to resolve Accounts Receivable deductions.
  • Record and maintain e-commerce payments, including raising invoices and recording payments in multiple currencies.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Assist in PSA and P11D payroll calculations through ledger analysis.
  • Support audit inquiries related to AP or AR.

What we look for:

Experience:

  • Experience with accounts payable and financial accounting systems is essential.
  • Experience in FMCG environment is preferable.
  • Proficiency in Excel for managing large datasets.
  • Studying or planning to study ACA/ACCA or CIMA is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Confidence, assertiveness, high attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills across diverse teams and cultures.

  • Experience with NetSuite and Concur is a plus.

Education Level/Degree:

  • AAT or early stages of ACA/ACCA/CIMA studies, Business degree, A Levels, BTEC, or NVQ.
