We are currently seeking an experienced Masker for a reputable engineering company based in Woking, Surrey. This role is working a late shift from 3pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, with an initial training period on the day shift from 8am to 4pm. This temporary to permanent role involves the precise masking and de-masking of customer products during coating processes, ensuring quality standards are met throughout. The successful candidate will also be responsible for related duties such as cleaning, surface preparation, and inspection, with opportunities to develop their skills through internal training and certification. The role is vital for maintaining high standards in a clean room environment and requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure the flawless finish of products.
- Previous experience as a Masker or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to understand and follow detailed work instructions and processes
- Manual dexterity and excellent eye-hand coordination for precision masking tasks
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills, including the ability to perform simple calculations
- Clear spoken and written English
- Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
