As a Graduate Fieldbased Business Advisor, you will be responsible for managing a defined geographical area, visiting a variety of retail outlets including supermarkets, petrol stations, independent retailers and cash & carry locations. Acting as a regional resource, you will support business objectives through planned store visits, new product launches and targeted activity across your territory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with retail decision-makers
- Driving product availability, distribution and visibility in-store
- Selling in products and negotiating trading agreements where appropriate
- Educating retailers and store staff on product range and category management
- Collecting, analysing and accurately recording in-store data to inform future planning
- Working towards daily, weekly and monthly KPIs aligned with wider business objectives
- Monitoring competitor and category activity within your territory
This is a field-based position that requires regular travel and frequent overnight stays.
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will be an organised and commercially minded individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at store level. You will ideally demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a field-based sales, account management or customer-facing role
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities
- Confidence working with data and commercial insights
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to managing a territory
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
