We're recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding vehicle refurbishment specialist that's investing heavily in its workshop and people. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Coachbuilder who enjoys varied, practical work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants long-term stability within a growing business. Working on a diverse range of bus and coach refurbishment projects, you'll be involved from strip-down through to final fit, contributing directly to high-quality, road-ready vehicles.
The Role
- Carrying out bodywork and structural repairs to buses and coaches
- Removing and replacing damaged panels, frameworks, doors, skirts, and bumpers
- Fabricating, repairing, and fitting metal structures and panels
- Stripping, repairing, and refitting interior components such as trims, seating, flooring, and fittings
- Preparing surfaces through sanding, grinding, and filler application
- Supporting paint and finishing stages, including masking and final assembly
- Working closely with Preppers, Painters, Fitters, and Supervisors to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Following job cards, safety procedures, and compliance requirements at all times
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Coachbuilder, Body Repair Technician, or similar role
- Strong understanding of bus/coach construction methods and materials
- Skilled in metal fabrication, panel fitting, and structural repairs
- Confident stripping and refitting both interior and exterior components
- Welding, bonding, and riveting experience is highly desirable
- A practical problem-solver with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, organised, and able to work to deadlines
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 - £50,000 per year, depending on experience
- 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays
- Bonus and benefits package under review
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (no weekends)
