The Role:

My client is seeking a motivated individual to develop their skills and grow within a dynamic laboratory environment. As a Trainee Lab Technician, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience supporting product testing, quality compliance, and process improvements that drive success. No prior lab experience is required — just the right attitude and willingness to develop.
Responsibilities:
- Support production by conducting precise tests on product batches.
- Assist in recording and analysing test data, preparing accurate reports, and maintaining comprehensive records.
- Collaborate closely with Lab and Production teams, escalating issues when deviations or non-conformities are identified.
- Help ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and stored safely.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe testing environment.
- Develop your knowledge of testing methods, quality standards, and equipment through continuous learning.
- Support data analysis and help share insights to uphold high quality and health & safety standards.
Candidate requirements:
- Educated to GCSE level or above, including Maths, English, and a science subject at Grade C or higher.
- Basic computer literacy, including working with spreadsheets and lab databases.
- Exposure to laboratory or quality-controlled production environments (desired but not essential).
- Experience with measurement instruments, calibration routines, or data analysis (desired but not essential).
