Overview
Clockwork Education are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant for a lovely school in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. This role is to work with small groups of children, some one to one work and support those with a wide range of SEND\’s. The school are looking for someone to start November 2025 and the role will be ongoing with a view to become permanent.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children with a wide range of SEND\’s such as ASD, ADHD and very challenging behaviour
- Supporting the children through all lessons and encouraging them to stay on task
- Ability to use own initiative and to change lesson plan when needed
Requirements
- Level 2 qualification as a teaching assistant
- The ability to provide 2 x educational based references (preferably)
- Enhanced DBS disclosure
- A keen interest in working with and supporting children with SEND
