Clockwork Education have an excellent relationship with this welcoming, 1 form entry school who are seeking a confident and passionate KS1 teacher to work full time or 2x part time, for January. The role would suit either an NQT wanting to develop and gain experience within this lovely environment or an experienced candidate who may be retired or looking for part time work. The role may be job shared in which case the school would be looking for someone to cover a regular 3 days a week which is negotiable. The role is for at least 2 terms but may continue as there may be a vacancy for this role.

You will be working with a mixed Reception/year 1 class therefore experience with these year groups is essential. You will be required to plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum and will be required to carry out the full role of class teacher. There will be a TA present to support and potentially one day if you take on the job share to plan alongside the other class teacher. However, you must be able to work independently and have good classroom control.

Knowledge of Phonics and the EYFS/KS1 curriculum is essential - NQT placements will be accepted as relevant experience. Experience of Phonics screening tests would be highly advantageous but not essential. To qualify for the role you must be able to provide x2 educational based references and hold a relevant teaching qualification. You will also be required to provide/apply for an enhanced DBS certificate if you do not currently have one on the update service.
