Job Purpose
Working with Head of Sales, you will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of key accounts. You will be expected to take full ownership of your key accounts, moving beyond reactive servicing to actively driving their growth and maximising their potential. Success in the position includes developing and deepening existing relationships, identifying and capturing untapped opportunities within current customers, and pursuing new business where appropriate. The role requires a proactive approach to constructively challenging customers when needed, guiding them through the sales process with confidence, and collaborating closely with internal teams to meet the customers’ demands while tailoring communication styles to different stakeholders and being aware of the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with key customers, acquiring a thorough understanding of their needs and requirements and identify new business opportunities.
- Proactively monitor customer engagement, sales and inventory trends through regular interactions, identifying any areas of reduced or lapsed spend, working directly with the customer to address and recover these, and providing ongoing feedback other internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with the Customer Services Team regarding orders, to ensure these are processed correctly, and ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner, resolving any issues and problems faced.
- Meeting all customer needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
- Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members.
- Achieve sales targets set with selected customers, being proactive in the approach to win new business.
- Book and prepare face to face quarterly meetings for the Strategic Sales Team to attend with the client.
- Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement.

Part One | Knowledge, qualifications and experience
- Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and Maths
- E-literate and competent in PC systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information.
- Proven experience as a key account manager
- Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
