We are seeking an experienced Boat Cleaner / Valeter / Detailer to maintain our stock of new and used power and sail boats to the highest standards and prepare them for handover to clients.

Our clients expect perfection, we pride ourselves on presenting every vessel in immaculate condition.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to work at all UK Clipper Marine offices and other locations to support boat preparation, commissioning, handovers and customer events.

A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Cleaning, valeting and detailing new and used boats to a high standard.
  • Assisting with the commissioning of new boats.
  • Supporting sea trials and boat demonstrations.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of boats and associated work areas.
  • Identifying and reporting any defects or maintenance issues discovered during cleaning and preparation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in boat valeting and detailing is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Presentable appearance and good communication skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

We are looking for a multi skilled engineer who is capable of commissioning vessels from start to finish.

Focusing mainly on but not limited to our Bavaria range of sail and motor yachts and Regal & Greenline motorboats.

The ideal candidate would be a competent sailor and comfortable taking boats out on sea trials and handovers with clients.

  • Good knowledge of power and sail boat systems
  • Wood work/repairs (basic)
  • General repairs including tracking and fixing water leaks
  • Boat handling Power and Sail (not essential but preferred)
  • Electrical systems

The role

  • Supporting vessels warranty and fitting customer upgrades in the field
  • Undertaking service work
  • Preparing and supporting boats at boat shows
  • Ensuring vessels are left clean and presented as per our clients’ expectations
  • Undertaking and managing the commissioning of new boats and any PDI inspections needed

Clipper Marine Spain as part of its continued expansion is looking to recruit an experienced technician to support our clients in the Balearics and mainland Spain.

We are looking for a multi skilled engineer who is capable of commissioning vessels from start to finish.
