About Cliphair
Cliphair is one of the UK’s leading direct-to-consumer human hair extensions brands, with a loyal customer base across the UK, Europe and beyond. We’re a 30-strong, fast-moving team based in South London, scaling fast and rebranding in 2026 — and we’re looking for a Marketing Copywriter to be the voice behind the next chapter.
Purpose of the role
As Marketing Copywriter, you’ll be the voice of Cliphair across every channel that touches our customer — website, email, social, blog, advertising, packaging and campaigns. Working closely with our wider marketing team, designers, photographers and senior leadership, you’ll bring ideas to life with copy that’s clear, compelling and unmistakably on brand. You’ll also play an active role in our 2026 brand launch, helping shape and deliver the messaging behind it.
Key responsibilities
- Write clear, engaging, on-brand copy across our full marketing mix, including website, email, social, blog, advertising, packaging and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and messaging that align with brand guidelines and commercial objectives.
- Lead email copy end-to-end: editorial development, copywriting, proofreading, and creating wireframes for the design team to bring to life.
- Manage and optimise the blog: planning, writing, performance tracking, and ongoing SEO improvements.
- Research industry trends, customer preferences and competitor activity to inform fresh, relevant content.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar and brand consistency before publication.
- Work closely with designers and photographers to coordinate content production and ensure copy and visuals work together.
- Contribute fresh ideas and play an active role in brainstorms and content planning meetings — for blogs, editorial pieces, campaigns, email, and seasonal moments.
- Use AI tools (e.g. Claude) thoughtfully and responsibly to support drafting, editing and ideation, in line with our AI Acceptable Use Policy.
- Support the wider marketing team during our 2026 brand launch with on-message copy across every channel.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging digital marketing trends, tools and best practices to keep our content fresh and effective.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Degree or equivalent experience in English, Professional Writing, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
- Proven copywriting experience, ideally in a marketing, e-commerce, fashion, beauty or hair environment.
- Exceptional writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills with a strong command of English.
- Creativity and the ability to think conceptually, generate ideas and adapt your voice for different audiences and channels.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), email platforms and major social channels.
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and keyword research.
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) thoughtfully as part of the creative process.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in the hair, beauty or fashion industry.
What we offer
- Competitive salary reviewed annually.
- Discretionary annual Christmas bonus.
- Hybrid working pattern, with a friendly office environment.
- Workplace pension.
- Modern, AI-forward team — we use Claude across the business and invest in tools that help our people do their best work.
- Real ownership of your work in a small, ambitious team scaling internationally.
