We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Clio Operate team in the UK. Clio Operate is our enterprise‑grade practice and matter management platform, built to help law firms plan, manage, and deliver complex legal work with precision and confidence. As the cornerstone of Clio's Enterprise division, Operate is growing fast, and we're looking for a designer who is ready to help shape the next chapter of how enterprise legal teams get work done. This role is based in the UK. If you are local to one of our hubs (Manchester, London, or Dublin) you will be expected to be in office minimum two days per week for our Anchor Days.
What your team does
Design plays an integral role at Clio, making up one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization alongside Product Management and Engineering. Product designers directly engage in researching the behaviors and needs of our users. They act as user experience champions as we work to transform the way that lawyers and their staff provide services to their clients. What you'll work on
- Design end‑to‑end experiences for enterprise legal workflows including matter management, task tracking, resource planning, and operational reporting.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to understand the complexity of enterprise legal operations and find the right solutions for them.
- Balance speed, quality, and consistency of design across a fast‑growing product.
- Advocate for enterprise law firm users by deeply understanding how they manage and deliver legal work at scale.
- Concept, prototype, design, and present solutions that solve both business and user problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Conduct user research interviews, usability testing, and analysis to deepen your understanding of how enterprise legal teams operate.
- Articulate the rationale behind your design decisions, and ask difficult questions and challenge assumptions when needed.
- Leverage metrics to drive product design and measure product success.
- Provide thoughtful feedback in team critiques and support the growth of fellow designers.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft using AI.
- Break down complex operational concepts into smaller, more manageable design problems.
What you may have
- 6+ years of experience in product design.
- SaaS or enterprise experience is preferred.
- Experience designing complex workflow or operational products used by professional teams.
- A track record of successfully shipping products that solve customer problems and move company metrics.
- Proficiency in user research methodologies and the ability to translate findings into actionable design insights.
- Experience with modern design tools (Figma, Figma Make) and willingness to adopt new tools as needed.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of interaction design principles, usability, visual design, and accessibility.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, agile product development environment.
- Experience working on complex projects or systems.

The expected salary range for this role is £73,100 to £99,100 GBP. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency. Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
