Would you like to help improve the health and wellbeing of those with drug and alcohol issues? The Service WDP Redbridge is an established, integrated community service delivered across several provisions in the Borough. The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial elements and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV and health interventions, OST, and community detox, as well as having family and carers and service user involvement provision.
Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/or alcohol related needs. WDP Redbridge is an established community service that is well performing and highly functioning. We are a friendly team of professionals who support each other. The service operates Mon-Fri, our core hours 9am to 5pm but there are times where we might need to work occasional evenings or weekends.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychologist to join us and make a difference in the lives of people with co-occurring disorders and complex needs. You will provide advice, information and training to staff regarding the impact on service users of trauma and adverse life experiences including social emotional and mental health needs and behaviours that challenge.
You will support the delivery of an integrated model of psychological and medically assisted treatment for service users and improve access into community mental and emotional wellbeing resources and treatment provisions. This will include providing specialist psychological assessment and intervention, offering advice and consultation on psychological aspects of substance misuse to other health professionals and supporting partner agencies who provide care on psychological theories and principles.
The role is predominantly based in Ilford Chambers, but at times may involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other WDP locations as needed.
