This role is responsible for leading a successful salesforce for a strategically important geography, sector or business line. It leads regional implementation of sales strategy to deliver targeted revenue growth and increased market share and awareness of Clinisupplies brand, products and services.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develops an effective area sales plan that delivers targeted near-term sales success and long-term sustainable growth.
  • Leads own sales activity and that of a local field sales team, setting and measuring effective targets, and utilising customer intelligence to drive sales success at every stage of the sales process.
  • Oversees large deals, ensuring appropriate contracting process and target margin.
  • Implements initiatives to increase sales and expands customer base, providing accurate and timely information to support calculation of sales incentives.
  • Monitors team and individual capital expense budgets, reviews and approves commercial business cases for projects and programs, escalating as necessary to Sales Director.
  • Leads the local field and internal sales force, setting and measuring effective targets and utilising customer intelligence to drive success at every stage of the sales process.
  • Coaches local sales colleagues to develop sales and systems skills.
  • Represents the organisation in external relations with investors, clients, the public and other key stakeholder groups; develops and implements relationship management plans for strategic, complex accounts and ensures a coordinated approach to engagement with those customers.
  • Sets team and individual capital expense budgets, reviews and approves commercial business cases for projects and programs that have a global business impact.
  • Develops the skills of regional sales force through effective pipeline management and review, coaching and mentoring team members for success.
  • Engages the team with functional strategy and business plan, and its relationship to Clinisupplies’ mission, vision and values.
  • Clarifies the actions needed by the team to implement those plans; motivates people to commit to these actions and to doing extraordinary things to achieve Clinisupplies’ business goals.
  • Creates an environment where everyone in the team can live Clinisupplies Values, where our people feel valued, appreciated and free to be who they are at work.
  • Defines the team structure and skill set required for success; sets and manages the labour budget, ensuring it aligns to overall Clinisupplies priorities.

  • Carries out quality checks to ensure all work is delivered to company, regulatory and legal standard. Identifies actions needed and ensures mitigation actions are taken to address any issues, concerns or shortfalls.
  • Manages and reports on the performance of the business area; sets appropriate performance objectives aligned to strategic priorities and holds our people accountable for achieving them. Takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business or project objectives.
  • Drives client-focused process improvement and decision-making.
  • Follows and upholds Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures, Code of Ethics and mandatory instructions; identifies and mitigates risks to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of self and others.
  • Supports team members with training and coaching to improve their overall skill and ability to meet targets and quality standards.
  • Develops own capabilities, participates in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Gains or maintains external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfil personal potential.
  • Maintains an understanding of systems and technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education and reading specialist media.
