Clinisupplies is a leading UK-based manufacturer and supplier of medical appliances specialising in continence products for managing acute and chronic conditions. The company also offers a portfolio of bandages and garments for the treatment of wounds and chronic skin conditions as well as a full range of Bowel Management products. Employing over 500 people in the UK, China and India, Clinisupplies supplies its products to the NHS and delivers direct to patients’ homes through Clinidirect, its dispensing appliance contractor. Clinisupplies is focused on developing products which are simple and discreet to use. Its product development team works with clinicians and patients to develop a strong product pipeline to be manufactured at its CE, ISO, US FDA approved facilities.

This role advises on HR policy and assists with implementation of HR procedures and processes. It works directly with leadership to develop and direct an HR agenda that closely supports Clinisupplies business goals.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development of People Strategy through deep business insight and wide experience implementing and applying people policy for a strategically important Clinisupplies entity or geography.
  • Provides a cost-effective HR advice service, ensuring HR systems information, HR advice and activities are deployed in a systematic, streamlined and appropriate manner. Analyses employee queries to prioritise and deploy advice on a fix it once approach.
  • Partners with business leaders and managers to understand business issues, define and communicate people solutions, in line with overall Clinisupplies people strategy, policy, best practice and budget.
  • Partners the business on major change initiatives, ensuring the impact on people is carefully considered and addressed through communication, engagement and, where necessary, consultation.
  • Provides specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions.
  • Drives business adherence to HR policy, practice and processes, identifying and acting on opportunity for improvement, and providing appropriate challenge to the business to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • Supports the deployment of business-critical employee lifecycle procedures. Monitors their implementation and adherence.
  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education and reading specialist media.
  • Drives consumer-focused process improvement and decision-making.
  • Creates an environment where everyone in the team can live Clinisupplies’ Values. Role models and champions the behaviours that ensure all colleagues feel valued, respected, appreciated and free to be who they are at work.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, codes of ethics and mandatory instructions; identifies and mitigates risk.

  • Treats Clinisupplies funds carefully, ensuring they are not wasted and are utilised effectively.
  • Ensures data is managed effectively and for legitimate work purposes only. Takes appropriate steps to protect and improve data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity.
  • Builds Clinisupplies’ technical expertise through mentoring and coaching; identifies and develops the next generation of experts.
