We are proud to partner with a unique, purpose-driven independent veterinary group with a flagship 24/7 hospital and a nearby branch practice in the Shropshire region. This forward-thinking group reinvests in people, patients, and clinical excellence creating a genuinely supportive and values-led culture.

We have two fantastic opportunities for experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeons to join this growing team: one to lead within a high-performing hospital environment, and another to head up a progressive local branch. Both roles offer autonomy, clinical freedom, and the chance to make a real impact in a trusted independent setting.

The Roles

  • Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated vet team
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Lead Nurse on operations and workflow
  • Drive clinical and commercial performance through leadership and teamwork
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient care

The hospital site features advanced facilities including two surgical suites (one for complex procedures), a dental theatre, feline-friendly wards, and five consulting rooms supporting orthopaedic and soft-tissue caseloads. The branch role offers the opportunity to lead a close-knit community practice with full support from the wider hospital team.

About You

  • Confident clinical leader with a passion for people and pets
  • Excellent communicator and natural mentor
  • VetGDP qualification (or interest in obtaining it)
  • Strong interest in clinical governance, performance, and team development
