CliniHunters is a leading Global clinical headhunting boutique consultancy. Our client is a dynamic and clinically-led independent veterinary group with an outstanding reputation within the UK veterinary sector. CliniHunters' client, a thriving independent veterinary group with multiple locations, is seeking an Operations and Finance Manager to lead its day-to-day operations and financial management. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth running of the practice, maintaining high clinical and service standards, and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations & Leadership
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
    • Oversee recruitment, development, and performance management, fostering an inclusive and high-performing team culture.
    • Drive operational improvements, marketing initiatives, and client engagement tools (e.g. PHC, Pets App) to enhance service delivery.
    • Manage locum cover and workforce planning across multiple sites.
    • Maintain exceptional hygiene, safety, and compliance standards in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
    • Support senior leadership in implementing new projects and business growth initiatives.
  • Finance & Commercial Management
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting to ensure financial efficiency.
    • Manage payroll, pensions, invoices, and payments via Xero.
    • Monitor KPIs, control costs, and identify opportunities for growth.
    • Oversee weekly cashing-up, banking, and financial reporting across all locations.
