We specialise in identifying and appointing Diplomates, Referral and First Opinion Vets, as well as Senior Management within clinical settings across the UK and Europe. We are exclusively retained to recruit an outstanding Operations Leader (£85k + bonus) for a fast-growing veterinary group with a strong reputation for clinical quality, people development, and entrepreneurial growth.
The Role
As Operations Leader, you’ll lead the strategic and day-to-day operations across a network of practices, working closely with practice leadership and central teams. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, shape the culture, and directly influence commercial success and clinical excellence.
Key Focus Areas
- Financial – Lead commercial strategy, oversee practice performance, and embed cost-saving initiatives.
- Patients & Clients – Champion clinical standards and outstanding customer service, manage escalated complaints, and support local marketing.
- People – Provide visible leadership, own the region’s people plan, and coach Practice Managers and Clinical Directors.
- Governance – Ensure full compliance with RCVS and Health & Safety, and implement SOPs across the region.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in multi-site veterinary operations leadership
- Experience managing remote teams within a matrix structure
- Strong financial acumen, people leadership, and continuous improvement track record
- Confident communicator with a passion for veterinary excellence
