To support our growth, we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager for a newly created role designed to act as the operational glue across the supply chain with responsibility for overseeing the Divisional S&OP. You will have ownership of primary logistics including service performance and reporting as well as playing a pivotal role to ensure products are brought into the business and shipped out to customers in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner, balancing supply and demand while minimising excess inventory and unnecessary costs. Sitting at the intersection of Customer Service, Procurement, Planning and Transport, this role will play a key part in building structure, improving processes and reducing reactive, high-cost decision-making across the business.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for global logistics operations and vendor performance management across specialist couriers, integrators and 3PL’s. This role is critical to ensuring service excellence, cost efficiency, and cross-functional alignment across planning, procurement, and divisional support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- S&OP - Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Key stakeholder in Divisional S&OP – continuously striving to achieve a deep understanding of demand through close collaboration with commercial function.
- Linking this into support functions planning and procurement who are responsible for supply to ensure these are in balance.
- Owner of primary logistics including service performance and reporting.
- Act as a key liaison between supply chain, planning, procurement, and divisional teams.
- Support demand planning and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with QA, regulatory, and finance teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain integrity.
- Oversee performance of specialist couriers, integrators and 3PL’s across global lanes.
- Monitor and manage service levels, including on-time delivery, temperature compliance and exception handling.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for service failures.
- Support in issuing Benchmarking and RFQ’s with Logistics Vendors.
- Own vendor relationships for logistics and supply chain services.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key vendors to assess:
- Lead-time adherence
- Invoicing performance
- Billing accuracy
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain KPIs for courier performance, vendor compliance and cost-to-serve.
- Drive digital tools and dashboards for real-time visibility and analytics.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections with robust documentation and process controls.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Data Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, preferable in life science, pharma, medical devices.
- Proven experience managing global courier networks and vendor performance.
- Strong understanding of GDP, cold chain logistics, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
