As Strategic BI Analyst with Clinigen, you will be responsible for leading the development, collection, analysis and utilisation of data, to inform strategic decision-making within key business units.
You’ll work closely with the BD organisation to support the accounts, targeting, and developing opportunities to assess assets opportunities and commercial agreements profitability.
You’ll also collaborate cross functionally, including Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Finance.
Your activities will be to:
- Partner with BD teams to support evaluations from first contact to deal closure
- Analyse APAC markets and contribute to business case development for new assets
- Research product acquisition and licensing targets, receive brief from project lead, usually includes the product, disease area and territory, objective of the business plan and a deadline date
- Request product info / patient data etc. from a partner company (often the project lead already has this information available and will share it with me)
- Understand the partner company and their challenges and requirements
- Desktop research, seeking collaborative and operational input from regulatory, finance, legal, PV, MedInfo, Quality, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, Unlicensed and / or Commercial teams to validate strategies and market pathways when building business cases (about ~70% of my time is spent on this)
- Understanding the Clinigen business and capabilities of each business unit (Unlicensed and Commercial Medicines) by country
- As part of the business case, develop financial models with sensitivity and profitability
- Hand-over of the business plan and project to Unlicensed or Commercial team once the commercial agreement has been signed
- Prepare business development presentations and participate in BD meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of datasets from multiple sources, delivering key insights to leadership of BUs and Regions through reports, dashboards, and presentations. Ensure that data insights are actionable and relevant for decision-makers.
- Assets and Biotech/Pharma companies targeting: Analyze the different sources of information (e.g.; GlobalData) to provide to the BD teams targets aligned with the BU growth strategy and market segmentation.
- Business model development support: partner with the BD teams to develop business models to assess potential assets opportunities and commercial agreements (Licensed, Unlicensed) profitability.
- Data Visualization: Create clear, compelling visualizations that simplify complex data and present actionable insights to senior management and other decision-makers.
- Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders across Functions (e.g., Business Development, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Finance) to understand business needs and deliver customized data solutions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve Business Intelligence processes, data collection methods, and reporting frameworks.
- Tool and Technology Management: Evaluate the latest Business Intelligence tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance data-driven decision-making
About you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in life sciences, medicine, pharma, or similar
- Experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare consulting, financial analysis or business development
- APAC market knowledge especially in pricing and reimbursement
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and data analysis software (e.g., SQL).
- Proven track record of delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Knowledge of Sales Force CRM.
- Experience with cloud-based Business Intelligence solutions and knowledge of AI applications in Business Intelligence is a Plus.
This role can be based out of either our Weybridge or London office.
