Build your commercial career working with leading pharmaceutical companies.
We’re looking for a commercially minded, confident and analytical individual to join our Commercial/Business Development team as a Priority Client Quote & Contracting Associate. This newly created role will work closely with priority pharmaceutical clients, initially supporting a major strategic account, and alongside our Business Development team to turn client requirements into accurate scopes, budgets, proposals and ultimately contracting documentation.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be a key link between our clients and internal teams, helping move projects smoothly from “what does the client need?” to “what will it cost?” to “let’s get it contracted.”
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with clients and BD colleagues to understand programme requirements, including products, patient numbers, countries and timelines.
- Translating agreed requirements into budgets, pricing models and proposals.
- Managing straightforward scope changes and communicating their financial impact.
- Coordinating with BD, Programme Management, Legal, Operations, Data and IT to keep proposals moving.
- Managing client feedback and maintaining accurate information and version control in Salesforce.
- Supporting the preparation of Statements of Work (SOWs) using approved scope and budget information.
- Improving pricing tools, templates and processes.
A commercial role with a pathway into BD, this isn’t a traditional sales role; cold calling and lead generation aren’t the focus.
We’re looking for someone who can build trusted client relationships, ask intelligent questions, understand client needs and spot potential commercial opportunities to bring back to the BD team.
For the right person, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop towards a future Business Development career.
What are we looking for?
You may have experience in:
- Business Development or Sales Support
- Bid/Proposal Coordination
- Commercial Operations
- Client or Account Services
- Project/Programme Coordination
- Pharmaceutical, healthcare or life sciences
Pharma experience is advantageous but not essential. We’re more interested in your commercial mindset, communication skills and ability to learn.
You’ll need:
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with budgets, pricing or data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence working with clients and senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- An interest in developing your commercial/BD career.
Experience with Salesforce, automation, AI or other productivity tools would be a plus.
The team & flexibility
You’ll join a Commercial/BD team across the UK and US, reporting into the VP of BD. We value a hybrid working environment, with in-person onboarding during the early weeks to help you build relationships and understand the business.
Ready to develop your commercial career? If you’re client-focused, commercially curious, strong with Excel and looking for a role that could lead into Business Development, we’d love to hear from you.
