The Role:
To support our growth, we are seeking a proactive and analytical minded Finance Business Partner who will report into our Director of FP&A. You will operate as a key member of Clinigen’s Group finance function and drive process change and business transformation whilst having access to the leadership team up to C-Suite.
You will play a pivotal role in business partnering with one of Clinigen’s commercial business units, EU, US & ROW region, leading and driving responsibility for ensuring the generation of budget, forecast, internal reporting, FP&A, divisional P&L, balance sheet reconciliation and cash flow forecasts, all performed to the highest quality and service standards.
You will be working within a close-knit team based onsite at our Burton-On-Trent office two days per week (typically Tuesday and Thursday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Take individual responsibility for delivering right first time, accurate, timely and relevant financial reports on a regular basis aligned to the Group finance timetable and allowing the business the information upon which to base decisions.
- Ensure governance and budgetary control across the BU.
- Manage the provision of the monthly management accounts and KPI reporting for relevant regions.
- Manage the budget and forecast process for relevant regions.
- Manage the consolidation of BU budget submissions.
- Manage the production of flash sales reporting process for the relevant regions.
- Maintain a clear and accurate balance sheet for relevant regions.
- Provide analytics for 3–5-year strategic plans for relevant regions.
- Develop clear objectives linked to the above which can be provided to the team as part of the finance strategy.
- Communicate effectively within the finance team assisting the team to operate at a high standard of efficiency.
- Drive reporting improvements aligned to the BU strategy.
Finance Leadership:
As a senior role in the wider Finance team, there is an expectation for this individual to take a proactive role in the Finance group to share best practice and set an example to the rest of the Finance group. This will include:
- Ensure effective communication of key messages to the team from across the Group.
- Recognize and celebrate success on a team and individual level.
Minimum Requirements:
- Fully qualified chartered accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience in a similar position.
- Demonstrable business and commercial awareness.
- Experience of managing a senior budget holder.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively to all Financial matters relating to the IFRS.
- Deliver highest level of customer service to the business as demonstrated by 360 feedback.
- Pharma or Life Sciences knowledge highly desirable.
- Advanced excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s and graph creation.
- Experience of Oracle and HFM platforms desirable but not essential.
