This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role where you’ll set architectural direction, provide governance, and work closely with engineering, product, delivery, security and compliance teams to ensure our solutions support both clinical outcomes and business growth.
As Principal Technical Architect, you’ll provide end‑to‑end architectural leadership across applications, integrations, data, cloud infrastructure and security. You’ll own and chair our Technical Design Authority (TDA), setting standards and ensuring technology decisions are well‑governed, pragmatic and aligned to strategy. You’ll balance pace and delivery with long‑term platform health, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while staying close to implementation and real‑world constraints. This is a hybrid role, with occasional travel to London to attend meetings or away days as required.

- Identify architectural risks, technical debt and constraints, agreeing mitigation plans with teams
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges (integration, data, security, performance)
- Translate clinical and business goals into clear, actionable technical direction
- Partner with engineering, product, delivery, security and compliance teams to embed architecture into delivery
- Mentor and coach engineers and technical leads, raising overall engineering quality
- Assess emerging Salesforce capabilities (e.g. Data Cloud, Agentforce, Einstein AI) and advise on adoption

- Significant experience as a Technical Architect in complex, enterprise‑scale environments
- Deep, hands‑on Salesforce architecture expertise (Sales, Service, Experience Clouds; Lightning platform)
- Strong experience designing and governing integration architectures
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security, data architecture, governor limits and design patterns
- Experience leading architecture review boards or design authorities
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- A pragmatic mindset, setting direction while staying close to delivery

- Salesforce architecture certifications (Application/System Architect; CTA desirable but not essential)
- Experience across broader enterprise platforms (cloud, data platforms, identity, observability)
- Background in regulated environments such as healthcare
- Familiarity with AI technologies (Agentforce, Einstein AI)
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD and release strategies
- Agile delivery experience across product and project teams

- £90-£95,000 annual salary
- 25 days paid holiday (increasing with service to 28 days) plus bank holidays
- A day off for your birthday
