Join to apply for the Assistant Psychologist - 12 months Fixed Term role at Clinical Partners. We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly team located on the outskirts of Oxford. The Oxford ADHD and Autism Centre, part of the Clinical Partners Group, is dedicated to providing high‑quality services to our patients.

Purpose

Under the supervision of the Private Outpatient Team Managers and the Oxford ADHD & Autism Centre team, you will answer and respond to queries received via calls or emails about our services and offerings in a caring and professional manner. Using clinical knowledge and effective questioning skills, you will determine if the company can provide a suitable service for the patient, triage the patient where relevant, and book an appointment with an appropriate clinician for the necessary treatment. If our services are not suitable for a patient, you will signpost them to an appropriate service based on their individual needs.

Primary Accountabilities and Deliverables

  • Act as the triage contact for Oxford ADHD & Autism Centre’s services, triaging patients and booking appointments with the correct clinician or signposting patients to the correct service when they fall into our exclusion criteria.
  • Answer questions and queries from patients, carers, and families in a helpful and polite manner, always adhering to confidentiality policies.
  • Liaise with patients, families, and clinicians to supply details surrounding appointments and reports.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of all patient information, including attendances, appointments, assessments, and ongoing care in Salesforce.
  • Record and report clinical governance issues, including incidents, complaints, data breaches, and safeguarding concerns.
  • Provide cross cover for other team members to ensure a consistent and effective service is maintained at all times.
  • Monitor relevant email inboxes.
  • Attend one‑to‑ones and shadowing sessions when required.

Essential Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology or a similar, relevant subject.
  • Knowledge of mental health terminology.
  • Relevant administrative experience.
  • Clear understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality in all areas of work, including phone conversations, written materials and computerised materials and processes.

Desirable

  • Experience of working for a health or social care organisation.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Experience working with vulnerable people.
  • Customer service experience, particularly via telephone.

Employment Details

This role is offered as full‑time, with 40 hours per week, 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with a 30‑minute daily lunch break. The role is hybrid, working from home on days agreed at offer stage and at our Headington Clinic, with occasional travel to our Garsington Clinic.
