Data Analyst in London

The Data Analyst will work closely with operational, marketing and clinical teams within the Private/consumer Business Unit to analyse data relating to patient care, clinical outcomes, operational performance, and business performance. The role exists to create decision grade insight in an environment where processes, data capture, and data structures evolve quickly. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience with healthcare data, and a passion for leveraging data to enhance patient outcomes and optimise operational efficiency. The analyst will own the BU reporting cadence and partner with the central Data Team to align to standards, ensure data integrity, and reduce duplicated effort. This is a hybrid role with regular attendance at our London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Business unit performance reporting and insight: Own the weekly KPI pack and monthly performance reporting for the Private Business Unit, with clear narrative, trends, risks, and actions. Define and maintain metric definitions and a lightweight pathway data dictionary so the organisation can trust and reuse numbers.
• Data collection and management: Gather, clean, and maintain datasets from multiple sources, including Salesforce exports and reporting, patient records, operational systems, and relevant external healthcare datasets. Put in place practical routines for validation, reconciliation, and auditing, especially where sources disagree or capture is incomplete.
• Data analysis: Analyse clinical, operational, marketing and financial data to identify trends, explain variance, and support decision‑making across Operations, Marketing and Clinical leadership.
• Reporting and visualisation: Build dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau and, where relevant, Salesforce Analytics, to communicate insight to stakeholders at all levels. Create self‑serve views where possible and keep reporting resilient to changing field definitions and data structures.
• Data‑driven decision support: Partner with BU, operational, marketing and clinical leadership to deliver actionable insight that improves patient care, optimises resourcing, and supports strategy. Support prioritisation and planning with capacity, demand, and flow analysis, and quantify bottlenecks and rework drivers.
• Quality assurance: Maintain data accuracy and integrity through regular validation, cleansing, and audit checks.
• Predictive analytics and forecasting: Use statistical modelling to forecast trends and outcomes, supporting planning and improved patient outcomes.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Work day to day with BU teams while aligning with the Data Team on standards, governance, and access patterns, and where appropriate graduate BU analysis into shared datasets. Operate effectively in structural ambiguity, balancing BU priorities with Data Team expectations through transparent trade‑offs and escalation. Work with clinical, operational, and IT teams to clarify data needs, ensure access, and support integration across platforms.
• Data security and compliance: Ensure all data handling complies with GDPR and healthcare‑specific regulations, protecting patient privacy and data security.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within healthcare or a regulated industry.
• Proven experience in working with large datasets, conducting complex data analysis, and delivering actionable insights.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proficiency in SQL/SOQL for querying databases and manipulating datasets.
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce Analytics).
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modelling techniques.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems or clinical data is highly desirable.

Remuneration and Benefits

• £40,000 - £50,000 annual salary (DOE)
