ABOUT US

Clinical Massage London is a client-centred, evidence-informed clinic that shares a commitment to compassion, inclusivity, clear communication, and high clinical standards. You will share a space with an experienced, independent team of therapists who value teamwork, accountability, and professional growth. Our space is exceptional because we believe every treatment starts with the right environment. We have prioritised this through a soothing and relaxing space (soft lighting, calming music, heated and electrically adjustable treatment table, air conditioning), alongside a focus on clinical care. This makes for an enjoyable experience for both client and therapist.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is ideal for a confident, experienced, and independent-minded therapist with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for bodywork. You will thrive with us if you:

  • Are kind, thoughtful, reliable, and self-driven
  • Communicate clearly and maintain excellent professional boundaries
  • Are comfortable working collaboratively with clients to deliver outcome-driven treatments
  • Keep detailed clinical reasoning and SOAP notes
  • Uphold the clinic's shared values
  • Hold up-to-date liability insurance and membership with a reputable professional organisation

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Clinical / Sports / Remedial Massage (Level 5 – required)
  • Pregnancy Massage (optional but preferred)
  • Manual lymphatic drainage (optional but preferred)
  • Chair massage qualification (optional; would be a bonus – ad-hoc opportunities may arise for one-off wellbeing days)

REMUNERATION

Generous flat rates and transparent therapist pay structure. Appointment lengths from 30 mins up to 120 minutes, with commissions ranging from:

  • £33 – £75 per treatment for new therapists
  • £34 – £78 per treatment for senior therapists

Laundry fee deductions: £3 per appointment (deductible when doing personal taxes). Therapists keep 100% of tips. £5 for every unique 5-star review mentioning them on our business page.

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Therapists with recognised chair massage qualifications may be offered corporate and community event work at £40/hour. A clinic massage chair and equipment are available to borrow, or you may use your own if you already have some.

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING WITH US

Independence, Flexibility & Control of Your Schedule. At Clinical Massage London, we believe that being self-employed should actually feel self-employed. Many clinics advertise independent contractor roles but then manage therapists like staff—dictating schedules, limiting autonomy, and restricting flexibility. That’s not how we work. Here, you’ll have genuine independence and real control over your calendar. We ask that therapists commit to a regular weekly shift pattern so clients can rely on consistent availability. Beyond this structure, you’ll have the freedom to:

  • Block time off on quieter days when appropriate
  • Book holidays whenever needed, provided you give notice to find cover for your shifts and handle pre-booked appointments responsibly

We trust you as a professional: you maintain your schedule, communicate clearly with clients, and ensure continuity of care. In return, you get the autonomy and breathing room that allows you to do your best work.

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF:

  • You are genuinely passionate about helping people through massage and bodywork
  • You understand the value of building a therapeutic alliance & client-centred care
  • You believe in working collaboratively with your clients (client-led treatment goals)
  • You know how to communicate with clients responsibly using evidence-informed language
  • You are open-minded and interested in continuous learning to maintain an evidence-informed approach
  • You value clear boundaries and professional communication
  • You are a natural team player, conscientious in nature, and appreciate a workplace that supports both autonomy and connection.
