We are currently recruiting for children's support workers for a local authority based in Cardiff. Supporting children with emotional behaviour disorders, from the ages of 11 - 17 who have experienced a breakdown within their family home or may have experienced a crisis in their lives, resulting in exhibiting a range of trauma-based symptoms and behaviours. They are likely to feel vulnerable, anxious or distressed.

Your role will be to ensure the patients are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their everyday lives when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with challenging children
  • DBS on update service (Desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years references no gaps
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Good at problem-solving and ability to make quick decisions
