Care Manager (CQC Registration Experience Required)
Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Care Manager to lead and oversee our healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in registering a care business with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.This role requires strong leadership skills and extensive experience across domiciliary care, residential care, nursing services, and mental health support. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing care operations, driving quality improvements, and ensuring the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:• CQC Registration & Compliance:* Lead the process of registering the business with CQC, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and documentation meet regulatory standards.* Maintain compliance with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and CQC’s Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs).
• Service Management:* Oversee the daily operations of domiciliary care, residential care, nursing services, and mental health support.* Develop and implement service delivery plans tailored to different care environments.
• Leadership & Staff Management:* Recruit, train, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary care team.* Foster a positive, professional, and compliant work culture.
• Quality Assurance:* Implement quality assurance frameworks to achieve and maintain CQC "Good" or "Outstanding" ratings.* Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
• Safeguarding & Risk Management:* Ensure robust safeguarding policies and risk management practices are in place and consistently followed.* Promote a safe environment for both clients and staff across all care settings.
• Client-Centered Care:* Develop and review person-centered care plans, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of individuals in domiciliary, residential, nursing, and mental health settings.* Work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Business Development:* Identify opportunities for service growth and development within the healthcare sector.* Contribute to strategic planning and operational improvements.
Requirements:Proven experience with CQC registration and compliance management.Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, the Health & Social Care Act, and industry best practices.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Care Manager or senior leadership role within health and social care.Demonstrated experience managing services in:
• Domiciliary Care• Residential Care• Nursing Services• Mental Health Support
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards it).Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Experience in risk assessment, safeguarding, quality assurance, and staff development.Strong IT proficiency for maintaining accurate care records and compliance documentation.
Desirable:• Experience with business development in the healthcare sector.• Additional qualifications in mental health, nursing, or specific care management areas.
