Role Requirements:
The successful candidate will be responsible for machining components to technical drawings and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines.
- Manufacture components from engineering drawings while working within company quality procedures.
- Perform self-inspection of own work.
- Conduct preventative and general maintenance checks.
- Ensure all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times.
Competencies:
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Ability to program, set, and operate CNC lathes.
- Ability to edit and prove out CNC programs.
- Proficiency using a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, etc.).
- Sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances and good attention to detail.
- Strong team player with a can-do attitude and self-motivation.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
- Must have an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar.
- Fanuc experience is highly advantageous.
- A programming qualification is preferred.
