Climb Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading company in the Sheffield area Job Title: Deep Hole Borer Role Requirements: The Sheffield Machine Shop produces machined components for the oil and gas industry. The machine shop is a mixture of CNC and manual lathes, deep hole borers, and milling machines. Duties and Responsibilities: β Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications in order to produce components to the correct standards within the estimated production times. β Select machines and appropriate tools required to manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures. β Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to ensure a safe and clean working environment. Accountabilities and Performance Measures: To machine components to customer requirements ensuring minimum levels of machining on parts received by customers Job Requirements: β 2 years machining experience with the oil and gas industry. β Experience of machining high-grade material. β Experience of using deep hole borers. β Working knowledge of relevant tooling applications and machine tool capability including tool feed and speeds required to achieve efficient cycle times
