You will be based out of our new state-of-the-art space located in the heart of the city of London EC1.
We are hiring a Technical Designer to help shape a powerful, expressive, and responsive arsenal for our upcoming AAA FPS. You will be responsible for implementing, tuning, and systemising a broad range of weapons using Unreal Engine 5. This role requires tight collaboration across design, animation, and code to deliver weapons that feel incredible to use and are deeply tied to gameplay systems.
Requirements:- Shipped at least one console title in a Technical Design, Gameplay Design, or related role.
- Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 Blueprint scripting and weapon logic.
- Hands-on experience implementing weapons, fire modes, and associated gameplay systems.
- Strong understanding of FPS weapon design fundamentals - timing, feedback, readability, and flow.
- Familiarity with animation state machines, montages, sync markers, and notifies.
- Ability to debug cross-disciplinary issues involving design, code, and animation.
- Passion for responsive, expressive weapons and a drive to make them feel exceptional.
- Own technical implementation of weapon features from prototype through to production.
- Build and maintain scalable Blueprint systems.
- Integrate closely with animation and code teams.
- Collaborate with gameplay and systems designers to hook weapons into progression, modifiers, and resource loops.
- Prototype experimental weapon functionality and help define best practices for modular weapon construction.
- Maintain clean documentation and adhere to project best practices.
