Climax Studios was established over 30 years ago, with an extensive history in developing all kinds of digital experiences across all formats, and has won multiple awards along the way. You’ll be based out of our state-of-the-art studio located in the heart of the beautiful Albert Dock in Liverpool overlooking the Harbour.
We are seeking an onsite Junior Character Artist. You will be able to provide us with examples of beautifully constructed characters, clean geometry, texture and material work. You will have at least two years experience as a Character artist. As part of our Character Art team, you will be asked to utilise your wealth of experience in conceptualising, modelling, and texturing to tell stories through beautifully crafted characters.
Requirements:- Be able to showcase some creative flare as well as displaying core fundamentals such as solid topology, UV's and texturing.
- A deep understanding and knowledge in Maya and Zbrush plus a proven foundation in Photoshop.
- You should be able to display a folio with a wide range of examples demonstrating flexibility and a good eye for form, shape, composition and fun.
- A good working knowledge of Unreal 4/5 as well as experience using Marvelous Designer and/or scan development pipelines is beneficial.
- Experience with Substance Painter.
- Experience with facial blendshapes and wrinkle maps.
- Hair authoring experience - full strand based and hair cards.
- Good knowledge of anatomy.
- MetaHuman knowledge.
- Examples of hard surface work.
