Climax Studios was established over 30 years ago, with an extensive history in developing all kinds of digital experiences across all formats, and has won multiple awards along the way. You will be based out of our brand new, state of the art studio at Lakeside North Harbour set in stunning 130-acre landscaped grounds in Portsmouth.
We are looking for an experienced and talented, UK based Lighting Artist with the ability to conceive, create and contribute to the team creating innovative experiences via artistic visuals.
Requirements- Experience of using Lumen in Unreal 5.
- Experience of using Maya.
- Extensive experience using Unreal 4 / 5.
- Extensive experience of 2D packages such as Photoshop/Substance.
- A solid understanding of Shaders and materials.
- A minimum of 2 years of lighting experience on a AAA project.
- Knowledge in a variety of baked and real time lighting methods.
- Strong Environment or Tech art background.
- Creative and self motivated.
- Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills.
- An artistic education to at least graduate level.
- Strong folio including examples of realistic modelling and environment.
- To work with our design and technical art teams to create balanced and atmospheric lighting for in game environments and cinematics.
- Understand the composition and the ability to enhance game environments and locations through lighting.
- Create lighting related visual and post effects.
- Maintain and ensure runtime performance and optimization.
- To enhance the project's mood and tell stories through lighting.
