About the Role

Climax Studios is one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with an outstanding line of top published titles. You will be based out of our new state of the art space located in the heart of the city of London EC1.

Responsibilities

  • You will provide us with examples of beautifully constructed characters, clean geometry, texture and material work.
  • As part of the Character Art team, you will conceptualise, model, and texture to tell stories through beautifully crafted characters.

Qualifications

  • Showcase creative flare with solid topology, UVs and texturing fundamentals.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge in Maya, Zbrush, and proven foundation in Photoshop.
  • Display a portfolio demonstrating flexibility, eye for form, shape, composition and fun.
  • Good working knowledge of Unreal 4/5 and experience using Marvelous Designer or scan development pipelines is beneficial.
  • Experience with Substance Painter.
  • Experience with facial blendshapes and wrinkle maps.
  • Hair authoring experience – full strand based and hair cards.
  • Good knowledge of anatomy.
  • MetaHuman knowledge.
  • Examples of hard surface work.
