Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy installation company operating across the South of England. Established in recent years, the business specialises in the installation of solar PV systems and air source heat pumps for both residential and commercial customers. The company has built strong early growth through referrals and paid search, supported by industry accreditations and a reputation for high-quality installation and compliance.

With ambitious expansion plans, the business is now looking to strengthen its marketing capability and build a scalable demand generation engine to support its next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

The Marketing Manager will take ownership of the company’s marketing strategy, performance tracking, and lead generation systems. The role will focus on two key phases:

  • Optimising the existing marketing funnel: Improving the efficiency and conversion of current lead generation channels.
  • Scaling demand generation: Building a predictable, data-driven pipeline that supports sustained commercial growth.

This role is well suited to a commercially minded marketer who enjoys combining strategy, analytics and hands-on campaign execution within a growing business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Performance & Funnel Optimisation

  • Review and optimise the existing digital marketing funnel to improve conversion performance.
  • Analyse cost-per-lead, cost-per-sale and marketing ROI across all channels.
  • Improve campaign structure and performance within Google Ads and paid search platforms.
  • Implement improved marketing data visibility through CRM integration and reporting tools.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimise website performance and conversion rates.

Growth & Demand Generation

  • Scale marketing activity in line with performance metrics and growth targets.
  • Develop long-term channels including SEO, customer reviews and referral growth.
  • Support business development activity through marketing collateral including capability documents, case studies and proposals.
  • Deliver clear and consistent performance reporting to the leadership team.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in a marketing, growth, demand generation or performance marketing role.
  • Experience managing digital marketing funnels and improving conversion performance.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads or similar performance marketing platforms.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and marketing automation.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as GA4, Looker Studio or similar.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within renewable energy, clean technology, or home services sectors.
  • Familiarity with local service marketing models.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategy and implementation.
  • Experience working in scale-up or owner-managed businesses.

Personal Attributes

  • Commercially minded with a strong focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing business environment.
  • Clear communicator able to translate data into practical decisions.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Interested in building and improving systems rather than simply maintaining them.
