Service Technician
Full-Time | Madrid, Spain
Our client, a multinational company in the renewable energy sector, is currently looking for a Service Technician based in the Madrid area. The ideal candidate will have strong on-site technical experience, a high level of English, and a willingness to travel frequently.

What You\’ll Do
- Carry out testing, validation, installation, commissioning, and supervision of solar inverter stations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications
- Diagnose and resolve faults, perform on-site troubleshooting, and support root cause analysis
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, fostering strong professional relationships
- Manage operational aspects such as health & safety, quality, schedules, and service costs
- Collaborate with on-site contractors to ensure procedures are followed and service-related costs and stock are properly tracked
- Supervise part replacements and coordinate service operations with external partners
Your Background
- No engineering degree required – technical certifications such as Técnico Superior en Electricidad or Energías Renovables are highly valued
- Certified in Electrical Risk Prevention & Royal Decree RD 614/2001
- Minimum 2 years of experience in power electronics, ideally in service, testing, or manufacturing of medium voltage systems
- Familiarity with solar inverters, electrical components like transformers and modules, and related service workflows
- Health & Safety training: 60-hour Basic PRL Certificate and 20-hour advanced PRL for supervisors or technicians
- Comfortable working in varied on-site conditions (weather, environment)
- Knowledge of Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) safety procedures
- Must have a valid driver\’s license
- Open to frequent travel (approx. 70% of the role)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written
