As a major property practice, they have a market-leading team comprising surveyors, valuers, environmental specialists, project managers, and town planners. They provide sound independent advice on all aspects of infrastructure projects, enabling clients to capitalize on land and property market opportunities.

Following the growth of their asset management portfolio, they are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Chartered Surveyor to join their friendly and ambitious team based in Birmingham. The role primarily involves working with rural assets of agricultural or equine nature, providing day-to-day and strategic estate management advice to major infrastructure clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Asset management, including direct contact with clients, tenants, and contractors for renewals, rent reviews, and maintenance works, especially concerning Farm Business Tenancies and Common Law Tenancies.
  • Property inspections
  • Land and property valuations
  • Property lettings and tender management
  • Engagement with landowners and stakeholders at all levels
  • Providing strategic portfolio advice, including diversification and disposals
  • Implementing policies and ensuring legal compliance in all work
  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members for their professional development

About You

  • Ideally RICS qualified with rural surveying experience. Valuation experience, RICS Registered Valuer status, and CAAV probationer status are preferred. You should have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A full driving licence is essential due to travel requirements. While the Asset Management team is based in Birmingham, applicants from other regions will be considered given the geographical spread of the portfolio.
  • You should be a team player with strong interpersonal skills capable of engaging with colleagues and clients at all levels.
